In  Condor 106/1 (February 2004), the paper “An Experimental Study of the Function of Crested Auklet Feather Odor,” by Ian L. Jones et al., contained a misstatement. In two places (p. 73 and p. 76), the authors stated that they used an artificial feather odor consisting of a 2:1 mixture of cis- 4-decenal and octanal. The correct ratio is 1:2. The authors and editors regret the error.
